In March 2011, Yashanee disappeared and for several months no one knew where she was. Parrish Bennette was indicted on murder charges after investigators found evidence in his bedroom.

Michelle discussed the "bombshell" that happened at the sentencing when Parrish Bennette's attorneys announced they knew where Yashanee's body was for months but did not say anything in hopes of a plea deal.
