Tra'Renee sat down with President and Co-Founder of National Women's Coalition Against Violence & Exploitation (NWCAVE) to discuss the lastest develeopments in the Yashanee Vaughn case.

Background

In March 2011, Yashanee disappeared and for several months no one knew where she was. Parrish Bennette was indicted on murder charges after investigators found evidence in his bedroom.

Now in 2013, Parrish Bennette has been convicted on a plea of 18 years in jail for the March 2011 murder of 14 year old Yashanee Vaughn. Michelle discussed the "bombshell" that happened at the sentencing when Parrish Bennette's attorneys announced they knew where Yashanee's body was for months but did not say anything in hopes of a plea deal.
